In the very heart of Istria, in the valley of the river Mirna below Motovun lays the Motovun forest, a rich forest area which is home to one of the most valuable fruits of the earth – truffles. Every year during seven autumn weekends “Zigante Truffle Days” are held in Livade, which bring together numerous domestic and foreign guests from all over the world (Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Russia, Great Britain, USA, Taiwan, Japan …).
